Meet the Misfits of Misfit Farms
Welcome to Our Animals page at Misfit Farms! Here, you can discover the incredible journeys and unique personalities of the farm animals we've rescued. Our mission is to give each one a loving forever home, and your visit here is the first step in making that happen. Explore their stories and see how you can help change a life.

"Lock and Shock"
Called the "girls"; Lock and Shock were the first members of the farm. They were rescued on their way to a kill pen. Initially, they were terrified of people. After months of working with them, they now are as friendly as can be! Taking treats and allowing for gentle pets. They are forever members of the farm.

"Pip" the pony
Pip came to the farm after his owners unfortunately were unable to house him any longer. Brought home on New Years Eve he has quite the personality! He was adopted by a family that has a little girl that is obsessed with him. Renamed "sprinkles" he truly lives a new fantastic life.
"Lucky"
Named because he was indeed "Lucky" to have been pulled off a trailer headed to a kill pen. His prior owners unfortunately did not have the time to invest in him. He came to the farm seemingly "lost". But here at Misfit Farms he was brought back to life! Lucky was adopted out to a loving family where he goes for frequent rides and met new horse friends.
"Morty and Merle"
Morty and Merle are quite the "BFFs". You can catch them always next to one another in the pasture.
Morty was rescued after he "failed" petting zoo school. Brought here with the intent to socialize him and give him a better life. Now he is thriving!
Merle was taken in from a rancher who simply wanted to find him a new pasture. Brought here he met Morty and they have been inseparable ever since. He is quite the character and ever so gentle.
Morty and Merle are forever members of the farm.
"Rocky"
This BIG guy is truly a gentle giant. Standing at 17.2 hands he made even taller humans look small. A Belgian draft to be precise about his breed. When he came to the farm he was quite thin and his hooves were in terrible condition. A couple visits from a patient farrier and they started to look brand new. Rocky was adopted out to a loving couple looking for a horse of his stature. He is doing well and we loved having him as a member of our farm.
"Jill"
Miss Jill was abandoned at a boarding facility by her prior owners. The owner of the pasture did not have room for her in the barn so she was put in a pasture alone. She was brought to the farm with no background information. Unsure of what her prior life was like, she was worked with and eventually saddled. She is quite the ride! She has become my heart horse and we enjoy long trail rides.
Jill is a forever member of the farm.
"Lady"
Lady was brought in as a rescue when her prior owner needed to find her a soft landing. She has a disease called "kissing spine" where her back bones rub together and cause her inflammation and pain. Due to this, she can not be saddled and is a companion horse. She is such a sweet red mare and loves all of the treats!
Lady is up for adoption
"Bandit"
This guy right here has quite the sad story. Beaten and abused by prior owner he is quite fearful. He came to me from someone who took him in but unfortunately due to a housing situation could no longer keep him. Currently, he is being worked with daily and has shown some improvement in his interactions with humans.
Bandit is being rehabilitated.
